Designation – Consultant Specialist
Purpose of the Job

‘The Development Engineering job is responsible for developing the most appropriate very complex Technology solutions using iterative software development/programming in line with the solution design, to meet customer needs, ensuring continuous improvement with responsibility to write the unit & integration tests performed by Test Engineers.
This role will carry out some or all of the following activities:
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant controls and standards including relevant Service Management Standards, and ensure high data quality exists in Service Management systems of record
• Providing support in the identification, root cause analysis and eradication of problems associated with the Technology service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.
• Providing Support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the Technology service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.

Will require excellent technical leadership skills to ensure that technology solutions are developed to the highest standards of quality, adhering to architectural guidelines and meet the Business needs.
Act as a subject matter expert for junior members of the team.
Collaborating across DevOps teams to ensure consistency, and continuously improve technology capability across the pods.

Operations Delivery Management

Providing support in the identification, root cause analysis and eradication of problems associated with the Technology service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.

• Providing Support in identification and resolution of all incidents associated with the Technology service, as directed by leadership of the DevOps team.

Customers / Stakeholder Management
Engaging all relevant stakeholders and ensure the stakeholder needs are understood, met and communicated appropriately via clear communication

Need to support across multiple Pods within the DevOps team.

Risk and Compliance Management

  • Analyze, anticipate and mitigate risk factors and work with the team and stakeholders to minimize risk.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant internal instructions (FIMs, GSMs, circulars) and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group’s standards of ethical behavior.

Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the job that require a continual test of the job holder’s abilities)

Stakeholder Management : Different levels of stakeholders with different expectation levels including but not limiting to the DevOps team structure will need to be managed on an ongoing basis.
Experience & Qualification:

  • Proven experience in Mule API, Angular JS, Java J2EE, CSS
  • Proven ability to define and build architecturally sound solution designs
  • Demonstrated ability to rapidly build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Good knowledge and working experience in agile methodologies
Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent proven experience in Mule API, Angular JS, Java J2EE, CSS
  • Hands on experience in Web development for banking domain
  • Exposure / Knowledge of Project Management in Agile/DevOps environment
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience in communicating with executives
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing demands.
  • Strong process implementation and management skills
  • Demonstrated success in key stakeholder management
  • Experience of using IT systems and reporting tools
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Ability to work as part of a Global virtual team across multiple regions.
  • Proven working experience of designing and building automation framework
  • Knowledge of Banking Systems and/or Banking Domain.
