Job Title: Production Support Manager

Purpose of the Job

Create a brand image for self that is known to be reliable, data driven, self motivated and one that is able to effectively market ideas/suggestions to decision makers.

This role is critical for the support of regular production as it requires the individual to monitor the daily end to end production for any deviations. These deviations, if left unchecked, will hamper the smooth production flow resulting in inaccuracies, overdues and eventually delaying monetization of content

This role includes comparing reporting and production with expectations and identifying and solving minor problems during the different stages of journal, conference and book production.

This role also requires the ensuring of smooth flow with Third Party Provider (TPP) supplier partner SCOPE for inventory processing and delivering the content to CAR (Citation Abstract References) supplier partners including Indexing supplier partners.

Coordinate with relevant teams to close open issues with CAR suppliers and TPP Build relevant and accurate reports that give insights into the health of the process and that can be used for data analytics effectively.

Prepare the inventory of problems analyzed along with the root cause and CAPA documentation for future reference.

Ensuring the smooth flow of CAR and Index processing and on time delivery while holding the responsibility of handling the overdue orders (orders that miss the prescribed Turn Around Time) effectively and efficiently within seven days.

Key responsibility Area:
Production and Delivery

Production and delivery of all content processed at suppliers and delivered to our customers as per agreed KPI’s

Continuity of production line and maintain all relevant reports that reflect the health of the process.

Respond to all irregularities in the process flow.

Correct errors caused by any production issues.

Work closely with production supplier partners and ensure deliveries are completed as per agreed TAT

Timliness and Quality

Monitor overall quality of the sources internally in Opsbank II and in end-products

Provide the necessary feedback to suppliers to maintain and improve quality while keeping the Supplier Development Manager informed

Check for the accuracy of conference markup information through daily maintenance of allocated conferences in respective accounts by checking the source information provided by the supplier partner.

Check for the quality of the contents delivered to Knovel platform and provide necessary feedback with corrective and preventive actions thereby maintaining the overall quality of the database

Analytical & reporting skills

Ask questions to elicit accurate information

Systematically evaluate errors and suggest preventive and corrective measures (CAPA) with structured documentation

Collate, read data and provide recommendations/actions with effective story telling.

Team Work

Develop a consultative working relationship with other team members and related teams so as to share best practices and common instructions amongst the teams.

Create an atmosphere of continual improvement, in which self and others are encouraged to exceed the expected results.

Ability to market ideas to relevant stakeholders for improvements

Functional and Technical Competencies

Tech literate – SQL knowledge preferred but not mandatory. Able to apply technical information regarding workflows, deliverables, platforms and procedures, and take the correct actions on the relevant systems to ensure no error occur

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experiences (and any other requirements)

Educated to degree (Under-graduate or post-graduate) level or equivalent

5+ years work experience in any domain. Publishing Industry preferred

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Strong report building skills with the ability of effective story telling

Excellent organizational skills; ability to prioritize; decisiveness; problem solving
